Because of great food and service at other Buenos, I gave this place several chances. However I’ve found this place consistently terrible. I just don’t go here anymore. Avoid if possible.
Well, I love Taco Bueno, but this location can't seem to get it together. It has had trouble getting orders right and out quickly for several years, but now the food is awful also. Chips and shells are stale, and the manager is super stingy with the portions, sometimes things have hardly any beans, sometimes hardly any meat, sometimes hardly any cheese. And the last 5 times the beans were crunchy and dried out, and when I showed them, he mixed new beans with the old and gave me that, so it was half dried out. If you ask for your food to be corrected, the manager argues with you as to why your wrong food is really right. When you skimp on the food and use old stuff to cut costs, people notice and it's costs you MORE when you have to remake half the orders. We will be driving much farther to go to another location from now on.
My husband and I came inside to order our food to take it to go. The inside was very unpleasant really needed a good cleaning. The bar for the salsa and your toppings was really disgusting. The jalapeños were completely dried out, no juice whatsoever. The inside smelled like old mopping or dish water. I had to ask the young lady that was running the front counter who took our money (with a glove on) if she would change her glove and put on gloves on both hands before she made our food or wrapped our food because she kept touching her face with the one hand that had on a glove but touching the food with the hand that did not have on a glove. She was very nice, did what I had asked and I really appreciated it. After we got home with the food, my husband was upset with the inconsistency of the portions of the food (he even ordered double beef). They really need for corporate to come in and get this place together because I am afraid that there will not be enough people willing to report the situation at this one store. Needless too say we will not be returning to this taco Bueno. I am not sure if I will ever go to another taco Bueno because I have OCD and I will always have this in the back of my mind!!!
I ordered fajitas and didn't get very much chicken which was disappointing. They also didn't tell me that subbing sour cream for guacamole would be an additional charge.
Always Loved eating at TB, but since we've moved to Keller 3 years ago, this is the worst TB that I have ever eaten at. Food is bland, dining area is a heath dept. disaster. Wait staff slow and drive thru they make you wait at the order point till the other vehicle at the window leaves then they take your order. Wont be going back to this location
