The last two times I was in the store in mid afternoon, I left without buying because of long lines. Yesterday there were about four people waiting in the regular lane and six to eight in the express lane. This store is thousands of square feet and they have two cashiers working?
Produce is great. Good quality and selection. Sometimes good sales on meat, too. Overall I would recommend shopping at Tom Thumb. Need to work on customer service, though. Almost always slow checkout and baggers need to be trained...canned goods do not go in same bag as chips and produce. Many times I've gotten home with squished fruit and crushed chips. Please train baggers. Thanks!

Good selection, fair prices. Lots of local selections. A great choice, I walk here every few days.
I was hoping to buy shrimp from the seafood department, 2 people working behind counter no other customer's. One employee looked at us and walked the other way, the other employee looked at us washed his hands and then also walked away. We stood there another minute, thinking maybe they didnt work it that department and went to get help. 5 minutes have now passed, I leaned over the counter and loudly asked for service. Finally someone from produce helped us. I said something to the manager on duty. He did say he would address the problem, but didnt seem too concerned. I have plenty of other places to spend my money, won't go back.
